Lab Supervisors

Tristan Charran, M.S., received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Informatics from New York City College of Technology. His dedication to clinical lab sciences has been a driving force throughout his career, culminating in a profound engagement with Maze, where his passions for the field were both realized and expanded. His experiences as a part of the Extended Sperm Search team ignited a desire to delve deeper into reproductive sciences, steering him to pursue advanced studies in the field. In 2023, Tristan earned his master’s degree in Reproductive Clinical Sciences from Eastern Virginia Medical School.

In his role as Lab Supervisor for both the Manhattan and Westchester offices, Tristan oversees the day-to-day management of laboratory operations, supervises the lab team, and coordinates with other departments to ensure the lab runs efficiently with Maze as a whole.

David Narvaez is the Lab Supervisor at the Manhattan location. He has been working with Maze for over 5 years. He manages daily operations of the lab, quality control as well as quality assurance. He is also responsible for training new staff making sure that all lab SOPs are followed. David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from SUNY Albany. He transitioned from the orthopedics field to the andrology world which he’s now passionate about.

Senior Andrologist

Chaya Rothschild (Project Manager of Extended Sperm Search & Microfreeze) holds a certification in both Andrology and Embryology Laboratory Sciences through the American Association of Bioanalysts Board of Registry.

Her prior experience includes work at a fertility laboratory performing IVF and other procedures related to Assisted Reproduction. Her time there has shown her that male infertility is a factor that is largely underestimated as contributing to the success or failure of assisted reproductive treatment. Her skills and experience in the micromanipulation of reproductive cells make her a valuable asset to the new Extended Sperm Search Program at Maze Men’s Health.

Chaya has almost 10 years of experience with direct patient care, beginning with her time spent as a volunteer EMT in her hometown. She has found that the ART laboratory scientist is a unique blend of laboratory technician and clinician, with patient-centered care being fundamental to her approach.
